Responsibilities of the Safe Haven Provider
Statute: § 432B.630- Perform any act necessary to maintain the health and safety of the child
- Notify the child welfare agency within 24 hours
Immunity for the Provider
Statute: § 432B.160

Statute: §§ 432B.630; 200.508; 201.110- Not required to provide identifying or medical information
- Not a violation of the laws of abandonment, abuse, neglect, or child endangerment simply for delivering the child to a safe haven

- The parent is presumed to have intended to consent to termination of parental rights to the child.
