- 72 hours or younger

Statute: § 13-3623.01- Parent
- An agent of the parent
Who May Receive the Infant
Statute: § 13-3623.01- Firefighters on duty
- Emergency medical technician on duty
- Staff member at a health care institution
- Staff member at a private child welfare agency, licensed adoption agency, or a church
Responsibilities of the Safe Haven Provider
Statute: § 13-3623.01- Notify child protective services as soon as practicable
- Offer written information about information and referral organizations
Immunity for the Provider
YesProtection for Relinquishing Parent
Statute: § 13-3623.01- The parent may remain anonymous and is not required to answer any questions.
- A person is not guilty of abuse for leaving an infant with a safe haven provider.
